A quiet & old soul ready to carefully capture the details of your day so you can be present
I spend most of my time chasing around our two kiddos and snuggling with my husband watching New Girl or The Office before bed. That or I'm probably painting something. Somehow I always have painting or DIY projects, but I kinda love it. My husband jokes that my slogan in life is "just paint it" and I've painted so many murals in our home over the years. We have two doggos, 7 chickens, and a teeny garden.
I live a simple life, but I genuinely love it and I love documenting it all through a lens.
My name is Emily Bohannon, friends call me Em. I was always told, "You'll never find a job as an artist." And I fully believed it! I went to college and got a degree in ESL Education, knew it wasn't my calling and nearly finished a master's in counseling. Knew that wasn't my calling, went to school and became a licensed cosmetologist. Knew that wasn't my calling and FINALLY had the guts to lean into what the Lord had for me all along.
My eclectic background was not wasted, I will say. It grew me so much as a person, gave me a variety of new skills, and allowed me to meet so many beautiful people. I’m so grateful for this passion and gift of a career I have been blessed with. It is not something I take for granted, and I genuinely enjoy seeing new ways to grow both in creativity and technicality as a photographer. I have met so many AMAZING clients that have become friends over the years, and that is something I will forever cherish.
I am committed to getting to know each of my client’s unique quirks, passions, and dreams in order to capture their day in a unique lens. My onboarding process is personal, thorough, and intentional so that at your session you can just be present and enjoy it!!

"Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or imagine."
Ephesians 3:17-20
